History Week is off and running with
EAT History. Between 3 and 11 September a number of community groups, local councils, libraries, archives, museums,
universities, cultural institutions, professional and amateur historians across the state will open their doors to some captivating exhibtions looking at our rich history in relation to all things edible. Close to home in the Lovett Gallery on Laman Street, there is a terrific show documenting
Newcastle's fascination with food. Told through a combination of photographs and
collections, the exhibition gives insight into our relationship with food and its production including past methods, fads and daily life. It's on for only a short time so be quick.
