Underbelly Arts 2011
Infamous Cockatoo Island has become well known as one of the most exciting venues to visit during the Biennale of Sydney. It's here that a wide variety of arts practice can be explored in spaces that often contribute to the overall effect of the works displayed. Mike Parr's installation of a few years back was displayed perfectly in a dimly lit rundown building that created a suitably eerie environment. It's great to see that Underbelly Arts will get their chance to shine on Cockatoo Island from July 3. If you're in Sydney treat yourself to a stunning ferry trip to see some exciting new work by upcoming talent including Ngoc Nguyen and our current PhD student Mandy Francis.
