Artspeak: Robert McFarlane at MRAG

Maitland Regional Art Gallery is currently exhibiting Received Moments: Photography 1961-2009 by one of Australia's most well-known photo journalists, Robert McFarlane. Rather than capture images, McFarlane 'receives' his images. They span public events and private moments, celebrities and civilians and everything in between.

To coincide with the exhibition, MRAG is host a panel discussion titled Receive/Capture/Take on Saturday April 30 at 2pm with guest speakers Robert McFarlane, Kevin Hull and Sean Roche. On Sunday focus shifts to McFaralna who will speak about stories behind photographs.
